SG 101 Heritage – Families, Children and Domestic Workers in Contemporary Asia

In this talk, which is an extension of Cultures of Servitude: Modernity, Domesticity and Class in India, the speakers will discuss what the presence of domestic workers in a middle class household means for a) the ability to be middle class, b) middle class working women and c) the children of employing households.

Organised by the National University of Singapore’s Asia Research Institute.
