i-AM 2010: Reflection

Part of i-AM 2010, an arts festival presented by the Arts Management Programme of LASALLE College of the Arts.

Date: 18 March 2010, Thursday
Time: 7.30 PM
Venue: Sculpture Square: The Chapel
Admission rates: $17 per person, with a concession rate of $12

Reflection promises an eye-opening experience, offering a look beyond the mirror to examine the true notions of identity as perceived by ourselves. The different elements of theatre, visual arts and music will come together in this one-night-only show taking place at the Sculpture Square: The Chapel. Set to a soundtrack of live music performed by local band Paris in the Making, Reflection aims not only to explore the theme of identity but also to encourage us to embrace individuality through examining our common insecurities. Come explore the various ‘live’ art installations depicting vignettes of the stereotypical complaints of today’s society, on issues ranging from weight and body image to financial troubles and interpersonal relationships, and discover the reflections of yourself in each of them.

Directed by Daen A. Ali
Music Performance by Paris In The Making
Special thanks also goes to Hidayah Selamat and Lim Siping

Reflection is proud to be the opening show of i-AM 2010!

7.00 pm – 9.30 pm

The POD, Level 16

National Library Building

100 Victoria Street

Really Ar? is a platform for critical and open sharing of design ideas organised by ReallyArchitecture (re:ACT). This year, we will discuss Singapore’s changing urbanscape. Newer, bolder and more creative concepts in property development, architecture and urban design are transforming the Singapore experience in a big way. These projects often involve complex undertakings including inter-disciplinary collaborations amongst large teams to formulate a unique real estate product.

The forum invites leading creators of mixed-use developments from around the world to discuss the influence of these developments in cities and an insight into their future. Mixed-use developments can have far-reaching impacts on the urban economy, transportation networks, people and their lifestyles and have the potential to catalytically spur new growth in their immediate environment.

Come and open your mind to new ideas for our built environment! Visit www.reallyarchitecture.org or email info@reallyarchitecture.org for more details.

Due to limited seats, registration is required and can be made via http://golibrary.nlb.gov.sg and surf on to ‘SG101’.
