Come join the Playground family in its first outdoor movie screening by the beach! Wrap up the month of love in this leap year (which happens only every 4 years!) with the screening of a romantic comedy by actor comedian Ben Stiller, underneath the moonlight while soaking in the cool seabreeze and atmosphere.

Not only you get to enjoy watching a free movie with your partner/friends/family, various F&B outlets are also within your reach should you like to munch on something while watching the show.

Drive-through or picnic-style, we let you decide. Just remember to bring along your portable FM radio, tune it to the frequency (for drivers, your car’s radio) and you get to enjoy a cool audio experience!

Playground@BigSplash’s main focus of this event is to encourage young entrepreneurship amongst students, especially those who want to run their own business in the future. This provides them a great opportunity to unleash their entrepreneurship spirit and understand consumerÂ behaviour. It can also be a platform for designers to showcase and sell their designs or products too.

Charity Swim 2011 by Student Advisory Centre

We are raising funds for Student Advisory Centre, a childrenâ€™s charity dedicated to giving free lunches and financial assistance.

On the month of November in 2011, a group of swimmers
will swim a distance of 10km along the shores of East Coast
Beach to raise funds for charity. We hope to find more swimmers to come and support the charity in this event.

J C Sum “Xtreme Inversion” Mega Escape for 3D TV Magic Special Filming

Where: Xtreme Skate Park, East Coast Parkway

This Sunday, â€œSingaporeâ€™s most famous magicianâ€ (The Straits Times), J C Sum, will be attempting a mega escape as part of the 3D TV Special commissioned by the Media Development Authority,

Reminiscent of â€˜Magic Babeâ€™ Ningâ€™s â€œInversionâ€ stunt from 2009, J C will attempt an upside down straight jacket escape with suspended line on fire and with NO safety lines. Simultaneously, skateboarders and inline skaters will be moving at fast…… speeds under and around him as he attempts the dangerous escape.

J C has never ever attempted this escape stunt before.

The mega escape will be attempted live with a live audience and will be filmed for the 3D TV Special.

Everyone is invited down to be part of history!
