<p class="MsoNormal" style="none;"><span style="EN-US;"><span style="Times New Roman;">Latest among the poetâ€™s eighteen poetry books are the postmodern epic, <em>The Universe Looks Down </em>(Brandl &amp; Schlesinger), which is now being made into an opera and <em>Telling a Hawk from a Handsaw </em>(Carcanet Oxford Poets) published recently in 2008. <em>Read It Again </em>(Salt) is his latest critical volume. </span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="none;"><span style="EN-US;"><span style="Times New Roman;">Chris Wallace-Crabbe is also Chair of the Australian Poetry Centre, Melbourne. He is a critic of the Visual Arts and produces artistsâ€™ books with Melbourne painter, Bruno Leti. </span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="none;"><span style="EN-US;"><span style="Times New Roman;">This session will be chaired by Professor Edwin Thumboo who is an award-winning Singaporean poet himself. He is an Emeritus Professor from National University of Singapore and is one of the pioneers of English Literature in Singapore. </span></span></p>
